The Museum "Rosengart Collection" was founded in 2002 by Angela Rosengart, an important Lucerne art collector. The museum has become a true gem in the Swiss cultural landscape.

The collection owes its reputation to two world-renowned artists, Pablo Picasso and Paul Klee.

Thanks to a decades-long friendship between Angela Rosengart and Pablo Picasso, one of the most stimulating artists of the 20th century, the Rosengart collection contains 32 paintings and over 100 drawings, watercolours and graphic works as well as sculptures, mainly from his later period. The fascinating collection of Paul Klee features over 125 works, mainly watercolours and ink drawings as a testament to the artist's many artistic periods.

Alongside these two important artists, the collection also presents works from 20 other great modern masters from the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Cézanne, Monet, Braque, Matisse, Léger and Miró.
